This page is dedicated to the trips we take and the projects we collaborate on!
Mexico, Nicaragua, Malawi, United States…and more to come!
We are currently working hard to find organizations who are using soccer as a platform for change. While there are lots of organizations claiming to do this, we are eager to work hand and hand with the ones who truly do have the kids first in their work!
Here are some of the places we have sent soccer balls to and a few organizations who have been great to work with.
Hope Road Nicaragua is a missions group doing big things for underserved kids in and around Managua, Nicaragua. They love, feed and serve so many, so well and we were excited to have our founder Mark and our brand manager Jessie go and help out. We gave them 350 donated MYOBD soccer balls!
Tijuana, Mexico was the destination of the big splash road trip that our MYOBD took in March of 2015. The MYOBD stopped in 5 states to put on the MYOBD event and collected 705 soccer balls and 250 pairs of cleats. This gear was given to Omar with YWAM who is building relationships with the youth in Tijuana. The work Omar is doing is keeping these kids out of gangs as well giving them a mentor who is teaching them to be better!
A middle school educating kids in a lower income area in Indianapolis started a soccer program in August of 2015 and approached MYOBD about helping provide some gear. MYOBD gave 50 donated soccer balls and Mark went out to coach the kids and help get the program going.
The Banda Bola Sports Foundation is empowering the children of Malenga Mzoma Primary School. Spiegel met Keni Banda (founder) at the NSCAA convention in 2015 and the two struck a friendship. Banda conceived the idea of after-school sports and education mentoring programs to plant seeds of goodwill and humanity for GLOBAL CHANGE and MYOBD is excited to help out with the giving of donated soccer balls and gear!
